Collecting yesterdays

Most of you probably don't know his, but I collect and curate Victorian sketchbooks. I see them as the equivalent of personal diary's. It's such a privilege seeing the world through the artists eyes. Unique intimate moments that we can all now share. I also admire the simplicity of their lives. No tech. ...anyway, here are my new acquisitions: A pen and ink drawing by Mary Heber from 1836, a pen and ink illustration from Albert A. Harcourt from 1874 and a wonderful sketchbook from Royal Doulton artist Isabel Lewis circa early 1900's

If you want to read about another artist I curate, Elizabeth B. M. Kerr, visit my blog, it's a deep dive and researched journey of an otherwise unknown artist, and her equally fascinating brother, I've become somewhat obsessed with: HERE
