This is an image I've carried in my head since childhood.
But It returned in a very vivid dream in 2009 and I could see every detail of this painting in my dream. I just kept studying it. Every aspect was crystal clear. Very strange.
I knew I was dreaming but I was able to stay there with the image. I also knew it was to be a painting. It's remarkable when I think about it, considering how fleeting dreams usually are, and how quickly they fade when you awake. to be allowed to study it. Every detail.
So, I finally finished it. It took me a year to paint. I kept walking away and leaving it. Looking at it and coming back again to add or correct things.
I call it "All the lonely people" because I think the image I had as a child was somehow affected by the Beatles "Eleanor Rigby' . Why it came back to me as an adult, and in this form remains a mystery.
