The Tea Party - Selfie in Wonderland

The Cheshire cat slowly slinked down from a nearby overhanging tree. He had decided to reveal himself and join their frantic tea party. They were all a little too busy to notice him at first. 'Let's all move one place on,' declared the Hatter. They all stood up and rotated places. The Hatter was pleased with the change. Alice, however, was not. She was staring at a mess of spilled milk left by the March Hare.

The Cheshire cat produces a large box-shaped camera.
He gestures for everyone to squeeze into the frame and remain relatively still. Unfortunately, it's that awkward type of picture where everyone isn't quite ready. Alice looks a bit surprised. The Dormouse is trying to squeeze in, but the Cheshire cat, also wanting to be in the photograph,  is blocking the Dormouse, and the March Hare is caught mid-pose. As always, the Mad Hatter (a cheeky monkey) is perfectly fine with it all, and shortly after, he pours another cup of tea for Alice as they listen to the Doormouse tell his story about a treacle well.

Illustrated in the style of a vintage Edwardian or Victorian photograph. This image is part of my 'Anicurio®' collection. Each original illustration is carefully hand drawn in pencil. Once finished, I often hand age and treat them with various dye methods, to resemble an old dusty antique photograph. I want this series to suggest something that was rediscovered by you. An inherited artifact from a mysterious benefactor? Or perhaps revealed in a long abandoned attic, lying at the bottom of a chest. Buried beneath old dusty clothes and fading hand written notes.
