The original piece (sold), and all limited editions, come signed and with a mystery envelope.
This piece comes with a black envelope attached to the back. Inside the envelope is a Certificate of authenticity. But also, a mysterious, wax sealed, faded envelope. ![]()
This envelope contains a hand aged letter, revealing the story behind the piece. It shares their names, the date, the family lineage, and their recollections of the time. All in a short story composed by me.
Only the recipients of the original piece (sold), and the limited edition pieces will receive this. There will never be any publication of the story by myself. Neither in print nor otherwise. In order to maintain the mystery, I request that the recipients do not reveal the story inside.
I am only signing these 50 limited editions of this piece (no other prints of this image will be signed)

Illustrated in the style of a vintage Edwardian or Victorian photograph. This image is part of my 'Anicurio' collection. Each original illustration is carefully hand drawn in pencil. Once finished, I often hand age and treat them with various dye methods, to resemble an old dusty antique photograph. I want this series to suggest something that was rediscovered by you. An inherited artifact from a mysterious benefactor? Or perhaps revealed in a long abandoned attic, lying at the bottom of a chest. Buried beneath old dusty clothes and fading hand written notes.
